Back to my own personal sweat shop.

I had a really fun time last night. We went over to Rob's ranch and ate some brisket, drink some beer and kicked back with our Viking brothers and sisters. I expressed an interest in doing the PT Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our styrsman gave me a rundown of what it consists of. I can't lie and say am not intimidated. I'm scared as hell. I decided to put it out of my mind until next week.

For now I have work to do before this summer two semester starts. I've got a bunch of Star Wars Mandalorian vests to make for friends and other clients. As until Monday to get them all done or at least most of them done. It's good money coming in but I can't say that I really like making Mando vests anymore. If it wasn't such easy money I probably wouldn't do it anymore. But, alas and a poor college student and I always need the money. I'm really not turning down any work right now.

What I really want to do is finish off all the items in my queue and switch to making the majority of my work Viking garb. I also also want to hold some classes here at the house for my Jomsborg brothers and sisters. I'd really like to teach a class on making Viking garb items such as hats, tunics, pants, dresses, etc...

We already held a boot making party here at the house, they worked so hard. They were here for 15 hours straight working that leather. I don't imagine it would take that long to teach classes on single items. I think maybe we should start with hats. They are pretty simple and they can be more extensively decorated later.

Embroidery would also be another good thing to teach. I get a satisfaction out of being able to help people be self-sufficient. It's a good feeling to be able to do things for yourself. I know this would take a bite out of my business but there are always people in other states and other areas that will need clothes made. I'm hoping to make up a stock of clothing items that I can take to Ravensborg and possibly sell and make a little money or trade for other items to put back into my business.
